How to choose the matching grinding beads for different sanders

As a professional wet grinding equipment manufacturer, Huiertong sander has been focusing on the wet grinding industry for 16 years. It has a certain understanding of the medium (grinding beads) required for some related equipment. Equipment and matching grinding beads:


Conventional horizontal rolling ball mills and vertical agitating ball mills: the initial prototype of the sander. The advantage is that the initial material of the treatment has a wide particle size range, and coarse grinding and fine grinding can be used in some fields; the disadvantage is high energy consumption and high noise. Abrasive beads (such as ceramic balls, zirconia beads, etc.) having a diameter of 3-100 mm are usually used.


Open vertical sander: Improved from the vertical agitating ball mill, continuous production with high flow rate is achieved by means of bottom feed and top open discharge. The volume can reach 5000L, and the compressive strength of the beads is low. It is recommended to use 2.0-3.0mm zirconium silicate beads or zirconia beads.


Closed vertical sand mill: the flow outlet of the open vertical sand mill is restricted to flow, with pressure work, can handle the material with relatively high viscosity, the stirrer adopts the dispersing disc or the rod pin, the model is relatively Small, 0.6-3mm abrasive beads are commonly used in size and can be configured with zirconium silicate beads or zirconia beads.


The traditional horizontal sand mill: It can be considered that the grinding cylinder of the closed vertical sand mill is placed horizontally, which increases the filling amount of the beads and improves the grinding efficiency. The size of the beads used is 1.0-3.0 mm, and glass beads or zirconium silicate beads are recommended.


Bar-pin horizontal sander: One of the revisions of the traditional horizontal sander, the disc is changed into a pin. A zirconia bead of 0.6-2.0 mm particle size is usually used as the grinding medium.


Turbine Horizontal Sander: One of the revisions to the traditional horizontal sander, changing the sheet-shaped dispersing disc into a thick turbine with a lumen. 0.4-2.0 mm grinding beads are commonly used sizes, and zirconium silicate beads or zirconia beads are recommended.


Shaped Cylinder Sanders: There are usually two types of tapered horizontal and octagonal vertical, which increase the useful work ratio of the grinding beads by changing the flow gradient and direction of the grinding beads and the slurry. Zirconium silicate beads of 1.0-2.0 mm are usually used as the grinding medium.


Shaped Dispersion Disc Sander: Change the way energy is transferred by using dispersers of different shapes, such as gears, eccentrics and towers, in order to change the direction of movement of the beads and increase the recirculation rate, thereby reducing the accumulation of beads. And layering. Grinding beads of 0.6-2.5 mm diameter are available. The zirconium silicate beads or the zirconia beads may be selected depending on the shearing force.


Ring sander: The rotor (shaft) and stator (special structure grinding cylinder) are used to form the "W" grinding channel. On the one hand, the grinding channel is increased to increase the residence time of the material in the grinding cylinder, and on the other hand, the cooling system is added. The heat dissipation area reduces the discharge temperature and improves the grinding efficiency. Abrasive beads of 0.4-1.5 mm are usually used in size. Zirconium oxide beads are recommended.


Centrifugal sand mill: high-speed rotating grinding cylinder and low-speed centrifugal force generated from the rotating shaft to force the material to disperse and grind in the shearing zone away from the axial separator, can process ultra-fine and low-viscosity materials, grinding beads The particle size can be selected in the range of 0.05-0.80 mm. Zirconia beads are recommended.


Basket sander: The grinding basket with agitator is immersed in a closed pull cylinder, and the high-speed rotating turboprop produces eddy current to continuously disperse and grind the material through the grinding beads moving at high speed in the basket. The particle size of the beads can be selected between 1.0 and 3.0 mm. Zirconium silicate beads or zirconia beads are usually used.
